hello everyone, i have an i3 540. (inspirion 580), and ive recently bought a new GPU,PSU.(evga750ti,550wcrossair) ive never monitored my temperature before, and im still new at this. my friend told me i could check temp through a program called "Speccy" my idle would go from 45-55.
while im gaming it would be in 70s-80s(even85 sometimes) yesterday i saw it reached 90
this is all after the upgrade. should i be worried? how can i find out what my core max temp is?
any cheap effective upgrades? should i stop using this computer asap?

Sounds like the heat sink is not flush up against the CPU. Happened to me recently, one of the pins on the fan housing was broken and it was not touching the grease. If you are referring to GPU temps, the GPU temp can climb pretty high when using intense graphics settings in games or benchmarks. I've seen mine max out at 80 in benchmarks.

i forgot to list which tempt. the temperatures that i was talking about were for my CPU. idle 45-55, full load 70-90 (i3 540) Also i looked into what you said and will be trying it out soon when i clean my pc up. any recommended brands?
