Hey, I was wondering if the i3 6100 was a good gaming proccessor for workstation and gaming too. The games I'm planning on playing is csgo tf2 overwatch and rocket league, and maybe a couple more games. I'm just wondering if this is a good proccessor. i3 6100 please help. I know this runs at 3.7 ghz with no overclocking. But it's a dual core proccessor. FYI I am pairing this with the EVGA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB 6GB SC GAMING Video Card if that is any good?

Those are both the best parts in their price-range right now. The i3-6100 also has hyperthreading, which, at a high level, simulates double the cores. It's not nearly as efficient as an actual quad-core, but it's better than a dual-core without, especially for workstation-type tasking.

What resolution is your monitor? If it's less than 1080p, you may want to consider upgrading that, before you drop $$$ on a GTX 1060.
