[SOLVED] I3 8100 identifying as kaby lake in xtu

As you can see by the title ,that's the problem I'm having. Any help would be much appreciated :]

It's using the newest version of xtu
I've linked a pic where it shows the correct identification in cpuz
just wondering, is there any reason as to why it is identifying wrongly in xtu?

Intel has released so many different Lake CPUs that no surprise that even they are confused by it all.

The CPU-Z Specification box displays the CPU model that is hard coded into the CPU. You can never argue with that information and it is showing that you have a Core i3-8100. Intel lists this processor as Coffee Lake so XTU is wrong.

It is coffee lake, which is the same as kaby lake, same as skylake, etc. They are all the same thing at their core (pun intended) so I'm not surprised its confused.

as the 8100 was effectively a 'rebadged' 7600 from the previous generation, perhaps that contributed to the misidentification...
