[SOLVED] i3-8350k vs i5-8400 with gtx 1060 3gb

Should I get an i3-8350k or an i5-8400 with a gtx 1060 3gb.

Depends on the usage, and probably more about at what degree game developers tune their game engine to take advantage of the CPU.
It boils down to what specific games you're using.

The games that I use are Ark: Survival Evolved, Far cry 5, Far Cry Primal, Far Cry 4, Destiny 2, Just Cause 3, and GTA V

Both of those will be bottlenecked by the 1060 3gb and both of them are similarly future proof for the next (or the one after that) generation of GPUs, the i5 with it's more cores and the i3 with it's ability to overclock another 25% .

Either CPU would pair fine with that GPU however with more games utilizing more cores I'd take the 8400 over the 8350K any day.
