Hi,
I am unable to choose the best cpu for my PC specs so please help me out I checked In some YouTube videos that i3 8100 is better than ryzen 5 1600 but it has more cpu usage and one thing I don’t want to upgrade my PC.

my specs will be i3 9100f and asrock 310m or r5 1600 and a320m
2400mh 8gig and gtx 1650 super

thank you but I can’t extend my budget to get great mobo and ram And I am getting i3 9100f 20$ cheaper

Solution
I live in India the prices are different than usa and B450 is twice the price of a320m here. But the question is that Linus also suggested i3 9100f but why?
The 9100f isn't a bad CPU. For a gaming or general purpose system the i3 is a good budget option. The biggest issue is that it is only 4c/4t so it will be overwhelmed a lot sooner than the R5 1600 and won't have the same longevity. Yes the 9100f has better single threaded performance than the R5 1600. The difference come in the multi-threaded performance and if you are playing AAA games those get more and more threaded all the time.

On pcpartpicker for India, I can see that the cheapest a320m motherboard runs ~5000 Rupees and the cheapest b450 runs ~6000 Rupees, problem is...

For longevity the R5 1600 will be better due to it being 6c/12t vs 4c/4t of the i3's. I do not like the a320m motherboards. A lot of times you can find a b450 for about the same price. What country are you in and what is your budget in that currency?
