Hey all. I upgraded my PC and bought i5 10600K with ASUS Z490 Gaming Plus motherboard. I tried some overclocking and ended up (at this moment) at 4.7GHz all core (uncore 4.3GHz) with Vcore (1.320), but real Vcore to cpu is 1.230V (probably this have to do with VID input and VID exactly to core). My questions are simple, but i cannot find any proper info yet for it.

There are few things in BIOS which are new for me ( Something i googled, but i would like to know your opinons). For example SVID Behavior - I mean, this thing changing completely Vcore to the cpu.

Question is - what SVID is best? ( It cannot be disabled in my case, there is no option for it, ) - Best case scenario, worst case, intel's fail safe or typical? Actually i have Best Case scenario and i am able to achieve 4.7GHz at all.

Other question - Is it safe to run in long term on 1.320V Vcore (and HW Info and Aida shows less on Vcore on each core - 1.230v). Example the worst case scenario) 16h everyday some gaming, some net browsing and working with apps can i stay here or do i need to change to lower voltage? Basically i know lower voltage is best voltage, but i cannot achieve stable overclock with less than 1.320V in Bios and SVID Behavior set on Best Case Scenario.

From my observations, with hardcore testing of stability (prime95 with AVX, LinX) procesor peaks at 180W (HW Info) and temperatures hitting 85°C (at 25°C Ambient temp). Is okay that temperature ( i mean if there would be an extreme like Prime or LinX someday). In normal gaming or working with CPU temperatures are maximally at mid 60°C. I can easily watch temperatures, because i am on 2 monitors.. Also i have Scythe Ninja 4 on it with used Grizzly Kryonaut in Fractal Design Define R5 case with 2 intake and 1 out fans.

Thank you for your experiences and reply!

Leave SVID enabled or auto whatever it offers.

Your temps look fine to me using Prime 95 with those settings will put more of a load on the processor than you probably ever will.

1.32 is fine but depending you your luck with the chip you should be able to lower that just a bit and still be stable. Might try 1.30 or even 1.28 at 4.7 those chips have a all core boost of 4.5 if I remember right.

I got all my parts to use that chip except the chip sold out everywhere.

Thank you for replies guys.. I wasn't sure about my SVID and Vcore, now i am convinced it's okay. I can tip you, where u can buy a CPU, but not publicly in this thread, only in pm. Legit, no scam or so.
