Hello everyone,
There are a lot of comparisons with just the i5-1135G7 and Ryzen 5 4500U and both give a tough battle to the other. But, I was in a conflict between the two comparisons: Which is a good performer between the laptops having i5-1135G7 equipped with a dedicated Nvidia MX350 Graphics Vs. the Ryzen 5 4500U? Should I go for the Ryzen 5 4500U or the intel i5 11th gen + Nvidia MX350 laptop provided that the RAM (dual channel) and the storage options (SSD of same size) for both the laptops are identical? Thank you.

i would prefer that i5 + MX 350. You wont need to worry on the ram speed and ram channel, since it's intel anyways. AMD Apus are great if faster memory is equipped, above 3600mhz which your laptop wont support that much speed, also the ram wont be taken as vram (ex. u have 8gigs, it will be 6gigs in most notebook since 2gigs for vram).

So yeah, that's mostly the reason the i5 + mx350 is better.

Since, Ryzen 5 4500U has 6 physical cores and 6 threads compared to that of intel i5-1135G7 which has 4 cores and 8 threads, won't the ryzen be better in multi-core performance or does having the nvidia mx 350 help the intel in performing better than ryzen in multi-core too?

only IF you utilize all 6 cores. 4 cores 8 thread should be more than enough for most daily needs, also MX 350 that is almost GTX 960M level performance.

So, you would recommend that i5-1135G7 with the Nvidia MX350 has a plus point for the intel processor and would perform better than the ryzen 5 4500U?

So, the intel and nvidia together beat the ryzen in GPU performance. But, if I go with the intel i5 11th gen over the ryzen, will the difference in CPU performance be that noticable for some heavy tasks occasionally. Also, I think trading off the nvidia for some CPU performance will not be a good deal economically as well. What's your say on this?

TBH, im currently using a 4 Core 8 Thread cpu from 2012 (E3 1240 V2 a.k.a cheap i7), and it's still enough for me to do alot of multiple tasks. Video editing is in a OK cause i build this pc dirt cheap (cant complain much) while waiting on ddr5 platform to come :D

My friend use 4500 and it got a little more FPS compared to my cpu with the same exact settings.

So, the intel+nvidia mx350 comes on top. Thank you for the infos. I was just keen on getting the best out of the two. Thanks.

I think that the i5-1135G7 is definitely better than the Ryzen 5 4500U, but still, you decide!

Actually, both the processors are tough contenders. But the ryzen 5 4500U is better in multi-core performance than the intel i5 1135G7. However, intel is better in single-core performance. Regarding graphics, adding the nvidia MX350 to the intel iris xe definitely has the plus point over the ryzen's vega graphics. So, going with intel.
If there is anything more to consider, feel free to drop you views. Thanks
