It's almost a tie depending on what your doing.Hey,
I don't know wich is better, what's your opinion?
I mostly play CS:GO. I've seen some benchmarks where i5-12400f deals better, and some where 5600X is better, I'm so confused. It's almost a tie depending on what your doing.
Intel Core i5 12400F vs. AMD Ryzen 5 5600X: Affordable CPUs, compared
The Intel Core i5-12400F and AMD RX 5600X are two of the most affordable mid-range processors of their generations, but the Intel chip is far more affordable.www.digitaltrends.com
Don't trust youtube videos you can make the outcome any way you wish..I mostly play CS:GO. I've seen some benchmarks where i5-12400f deals better, and some where 5600X is better, I'm so confused.
What country are you located? They're about the same price (with mobo they both are ~500 euro) in my country. As 5600X has a better performance in CSGO, I will choose it. Thank you all.

Country?I may have a shot att buying a ryzen 5600x and Asus rog Strix gaming-f for about 340$, used.
A new 12400f and b660 in my country would be about 430-440$. 12400f is 220$ and the boards about the same. The cheaper ones are crap, and I really don't se the prices going down anytime soon. I even believe it has been anounced by TSMC they will increase prices this year by 20% on chips.
Don't really know what to go for. Currently have a 4790k.
They will be fine for a locked cpu such as a i7 12700F.Will those vrm:s be good enough for a future i7 or i9? If I choose to upgrade further down the road.
https://www.inet.se/produkt/1903747/gigabyte-b660m-gaming-x-ddr4So in conclusion, even if ryzen still is a good platform, 12400f and b660 is still the better buy? Granted one can find a decent board that doesn't cost to much.
The Gigabyte board has DrMOS / better cooling. How does the Asus Prime B660-Plus stack up compared to Gaming X? It can be found for same price.
Also the Prime non Plus and MSI pro are similarly prices
Yeah, that aint happening...https://videocardz.com/newz/intel-c...to-5-2-ghz-33-higher-performance-in-cinebench
Wait until they test all the Z690 boards that can unlock the BCLK OC and get the cheapest one that can.
