i5 2500 vs i3 6100 in MOBAS only ?

i currently own the lga 1155 MB so if i get a I5 i wont have to upgrade RAM or MB

you have to get an lga 1155 cpu, i.e. an i5 2xxx or i5 3xxx

The i3 will technically be better for MOBAs since most aren't well-threaded, but even a 2nd gen i5 is still more than enough unless you're looking for 120+ fps. And, the i3 upgrade would cost a ton more. I vote go with an older i5 from eBay.
