Well like the title says I would like to know which is better for gaming the I5 overclocked or the I7 Non overclocked. And if the I7 beats it what overclock would get me closest to the I7. Thanks

A 2500k sitting @ 4.5 ghz will be faster than a stock 3770 when it comes to gaming. The gap from Sandy to Ivy is pretty minimal and for gaming it's even smaller than that. Yes the 3770 is the superiror chip for all around compute jusr for the fact it's slightly faster thread for thread and is equipped with hyper-threading. But from a pure gaming stand point an OC 2500k >stock 3770.

There will be certain games that are highly threaded that may make sue of the HT on the I7 and in those cases the 3770 may break even or be slightly faster. However thats pretty rare at this point.

'superior' is the wrong word. Yes the 3770 is better and is an i7, but for gaming i5s and i7s don't differ much or at all. 1 generation separates the 2500k and 3770, and the gap is not very big. you won't notice a difference really... maybe between 5-10% improvement going to a 3770

What new games review? Give us some links. An i5 have similiar performance as i7 in any game. No matter if its 2nd or 4th gen, both CPU's perform almost the same in games.

Get your facts straight.

As said above anything on frostbite engine for a start, dai 92fps min 4770k vs 73fps min 4670k, pay attention to new games as I said, of course Arma2 will run the same.
