I would suggesting going for the H100 or the H80 instead of the H50, not that they are bad, I am using 2 of them, but the new ones are better and more efficient.

There's a fan on the side panel not shown in this picture, that fan sucks fair inside.

Sent two invitations to Cougar on separate occasions and never got a response from them, some companies promised to participate and never sent a sample, some flat refused to participate because they said they felt their cooling fans were well established, some sent me as many as five or six in both categories, and they all were tested!

I received responses from exactly 1/2 of the total invitations sent out, if I had received entrants from all the invitations the roundup would have been twice the size it is, at one point I was knee deep in fans, and I am not joking.

I would have loved to have included Cougar and seen how it compares, but no joy there.

WOW.... talk about over kill.... :)
Why didn't you go for one of them peltier coolers? @4ryan6
Instead of the Frozen Water Jugs, did you try it out with Blue Ice?
I read the Caution on condensation :)
The best part of it all is, if you mount the Mobo upside down..... you don't need to worry about it... :)

Recently, down our side, the Red Bull guys are giving shops this Full ATX sized Cooling Box out of that peltier cooler tech. I'm trying to get my hands on one...... and just disassemble it and fix it up inside my HAF932....

Over Kill is the appropriate response, but it's turned out to be much more beneficial than I had first realized, it's given so much more temp range options, my temps never go above ambient room temperature unless I'm running a test and need the water temp higher.

I run my 2500K at 4500mhz for 24/7 use, but if I want to run it higher 100% stable I have that option at any time by adding more ice blocks, if I was not concerned about going past Intels max cpu voltage recommendation, I could easily clock past 5.1ghz.

Didn't use Blue Ice because I've had one of those break open on me before and didn't want the water contaminated with what's inside.

The distilled water in the jugs frozen won't contaminate the water when the jug fails, and they do fail after about 20 freezings and have to be replaced.

Even though it's over kill it's a versatile setup allowing more than a standard water cooling loop, and since I do test a lot here, it worked great in the Thermal Roundup being able to maintain a 15c water testing temperature.

It's a nice alternative, it's not a drag your computer to a lanboy gaming session type machine obviously, but if it was just too much trouble I'd have deep sixed the idea long ago.

Well the cooler itself is the largest consumer of space, I located it at the end of my office against the wall on an old magazine stand, there's no getting around the space it takes up.

However for my office situation and what I do in there, it fit right in.

In the beginning this was totally an experiment, I had no idea it would turn out so successful, but since it did, I shared my discovery for those interested.

The tubing is all insulated so the lengths you can run is totally for your own convenience, and the pump location can literally be anywhere in between the cooler and computer, as long as it is a little below the cooler output level.

Obviously this is not a setup for the Living Room, my office is for, building, repairing, testing, and experimenting, with anything computer oriented, so for my situation it's doable and liveable.

This is really a guy thing, or a computer nerd woman thing, which as of yet I have not met, but I'm sure they're out there, it was totally an experiment to a means to stable higher overclocks for the 2500K, of which it delivers.

You have to be into that sort of thing to take on something like this, but that's what's behind the curtain, and it works for me, but is not a cooling solution for everyone, it's just another possible water cooling alternative.

It's not the only water cooling setup I have, I do have a standard loop setup in an old modified Chieftech Dragon case with a 360 x 120 rad on top and a 240 x 120 rad mounted at the front lower intake, which is much more space friendly, but a standard setup just cannot deliver below ambient room temperature performance.

@xxbobbyfinxx

Sorry for any side tracking of your thread, I wanted to say that's a nice case you have!

I considered getting one of those myself but couldn't decide whether to go with the black or white, your pictures make the white model look very appealing.

When the pictures were being first posted I just threw mine in, but I had no intentions of hijacking your thread and I do apologize! Ryan
