Hey guys,
I'm trying to get my i5 2500k up to around 4.2/3 GHz. My mobo is an ASUS P8Z68-V LX, and I've got a Zalmann aftermarket cooler (keeps my stock 3.3GHz i5 at 30C after about 20 minutes after closing Total War: Rome II. Max I've seen it go is 43C after some BF3, although my Antec 300 loaded with fans probably helps).
I've got an HD7850 GHz edition, but I play a lot of Planetside 2 and Total War: Rome II, which really require the CPU to work hard. I'm CPU bound in PS2, getting about 50FPS in large battles.
I have the EZ bios with the GUI, and I know my way around advanced mode, but I'm unwilling to play around with the bios until I get help from you guys
Never OCed before, how do I go about it to the clock speed I'm looking at whilst mainting stability? The more detailed an in-depth the answer/guide the better 😛
Thanks guys!
