I5 2500k overheating

Hey guys sorry I have not posted here before if i am wrong by doing so i apologize.

I built my system not to long ago
I5-2500K
Corsair vengeance 2x4 1600mhz
Asus P8z68-V Pro Gen3
Gtx 660
Coolermaster HAF 912
Coolermaster silent pro 850W

The problem im having is my cpu overheating. I ran prime95 and my cpu hit 201 degrees Fahrenheit which i can understand. But i when i play simple games like counter strike im at 145-165 degrees Fahrenheit. Cpu intense games like Sniper ghost warrior and arma run smoothly but still my cpu is at about the same temp.

Shed some light on the situation?

Are you using the stock cooler that came with the cpu? Is so, then it sounds like it's time to invest in an aftermarket cooler that will take better care of your cpu.

I like this cooler. It keeps temps in the 30's even under heavy load, and is a snap to install. Also, don't be thrown by the name, it fits 1155 cpus also.

Yes I am using the stock cooler, my friend also has i5 and we play the same games and is has no over heating issues.

Oh wow it runs about 30 bucks. Thats a pretty good deal, I do plan on overclocking so will that cooler be suitable for overclocking? I also dont want a bunch of noise from fans running.

it will give you less noise but more cooling performance than the stock cooler. and its also a pocket friendly deal
