I have just finished my new build.
i5 2500k
P8p67 pro B3
8gb Hyper X ddr3 1600
I have a problem when the computer switchs the cpu to turbo boost.
Everything is stock and i have not mucked around with bios.
The stock clock accordin to z-cpu is 3.39ghz which is normal.
but sits at 1600ghz percore at idle.
When turbo boost kicks in it jumps from 1600mhz to 4400mhz straight away
the vcore fluctuates between0.9 up to 1.55v even when idle, Is this normal?
Is it normal for the defualt turbo boost to be at 4.4ghz?
When turbo boost kicks in the computer hard freezes with no BSOD after about
2minuts. And jumps upto about 70 degrees with stock cooler.
I have turned turbo boost off and used prime95 for an hour at 3.39ghz and it doesn't freeze.
Does anybody else have this problem? i need to no if my cpu is faulty.
