i5-3350p max temp and bios prob?

jw what is max temp for the i5-3350p and all programs i run like coretemp/realtemp/cpu-z all usally say around 25-30 degrees when i boot my comp but if i check bios it says like 40 right off of start up? which ones right?

Tjmax for Ivy Bridge chips is 105*C. So don't worry about that temperature thing. Sometimes, BIOS temps can give you false alarms..

but any reason they are so far apart? and max i hit under full load has been 74 using prime95 tht ok? stock fan

Your temps are normal. Even I with a i5-3470 temp goes around 68 with turbo fan profile. Some Motherboards calculate the Temp info with different readings. But those apps are more accurate it seems.
