i5 3550 bottleneck a gtx 960, 970, 980

Would my i5 3550 bottleneck a gtx 960, 970, or a 980? Would like to grab a 980, but if I need to upgrade my cpu, I'd be looking at the 960 for budget reasons

Nope, nothing to worry about. Any of those GPUs will work just fine and the 970 offers the best price/performance ratio.

You should really wait for the new cards to be released in 2 weeks, the 980 Ti and 390x 380, 370 etc.

These will offer new options and also drive down the price of the 970 etc.

Really good time to wait and really bad time to buy right now till mid June.
