I5-3570k CPU fan?

Anyone have any suggestions? Hope fully not too expensive either. This will be going on an asrock extreme4 but in a haf 22, so height is no problem. One day I do want to try oc'ing, but as of now I still have no experience.

Guys, no killer price tags please. A 200$ cooler will be rejected immediately =p

In your case, it will be no issue.

And u can control the speed with software so its not that noisy or mount it to virtual drive on RAM disk.

I live in the valley so it can get kinda hot. 106 dergrees F here just today. Just an average too.

Can you guys reccomend me a decent optical drive? The ones I read about on newegg have a ton of reviews complaining how noisy they are. I need a cd rom/burner/rewriter

I like the asus drive you reccomended.
It's got a ton of 5 star reviews and plenty of compliments about its quietness.

Now I've heard a lot about fan controllers – what exactly are they and would I ever need one?

Depends on how many fans there are and what you are powering 😛

I use my fan controller to power 4 fans and 2 cold cathodes.

i don't think i need a fan controller, ive read the haf is pretty quiet.

But are cold cathodes actually necessary? Or are they just for aesthetics?
