i5 4 gen, i3 8100 or i7 3770. for all gaming render?

ram 8
gtx 1050ti or 1060

so go for new or old cpu?
i7 3770 and i3 8100 almoust same price. pls dont write about ryzen

I'd pick new, since sourcing an old motherboard in case it dies, will be a very bad headache. Where are you located? how much do all/each of those cost?

I would go for the new one if you are mostly gaming rendering a bit and well it depends on haw much but also for rendering it won't be a bad cpu.
oh and how much is each cpu because if there is a better cpu and I would probably check on different cpu's because cpu prizes in my country are not very stable but that will probably depend on where you live.

In some modern games I would expect the i7 3770 to win due to extra threads but in others the 8100 to win due to faster cores.

The 3770 has no upgrade route and means buying obsolete DDR3 RAM. The 8100 gives you good upgrade options using the same motherboard and DDR4.

I am not saying the 3770 is bad but I wouldn’t invest in such an obsolete platform.

then please go for the I3 8100, it's easier to upgrade but also for many games faster probably not by a lot but still, and the motherboard will not support the i7 3770. just a question a nvidea 450 psu? i think it's just not spelled right but it's strange to see it and you can probably spell better than me so just saying.
