My i5-4440 is running at 100 celcius. I tried removing the stock cooler this week, and had luck but the computer repair guy said I broke the push pin things when removing it.. aka I uninstalled the stock cooler wrong. The guy also said stock is always better which is complete bullshit. So the new cooler I have is wiggly due to the push pins not working so it isn't seated fully.... What do I do? Did the guy put too much thermal paste on? Am I experiencing this due to the broken push pins? My cooler is a Hyper TX3. The guy said if I have issues regarding overheating then contact ASUS my PC maker. With the stock cooler, I was experiencing 70 Celcius and everything was working great. I can't even play CS:GO as I get 30 fps with 45 var because of this. As I'm typing this, my CPU is at 94 celcius.

He say's that I broke the push pins in the motherboard which is why it's wiggly. IDK WHAT TO DO HERE..

https://i.imgur.com/lHlsQ.jpg - That's not my PC but I guess the thing in there is broken. The thing where you place the push pin in.. sorry for bad explanation.. freaking out.

Those are heatsink screws on the motherboard it looks like in that image, nothing to do with the Intel stock cooler. Did you build this computer yourself or not? I'm assuming not. So why would this guy install a broken cooler into your system? I would get rid of this "guy" who does stuff for you and do stuff yourself.

Supposedly, when I was removing the Intel Stock Cooler by my self, I broke the things where the push pins lock in or something since I didn't know what I was doing. I was removing it to upgrade to another cooler (Hyper TX3) and I brought it to him when I couldn't get the Hyper TX3 cooler in. It's wobbly and I told him that, and he said it's because I broke the things on the motherboard, and I would need a whole new system.. which wouldn't make sense as a new motherboard would fix it no? ASUS built my computer. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883220515&cm_re=desktop-_-83-220-515-_-Product

The new cooler is NOT broken. It's the place where you put the push pins in on the motherboard supposedly is "broken".

Cant fry an Intel CPU from heat, dont worry about that.

Intel push pin design is simple and effective and can be reused many times if due care is taken - just learn about things before breaking things, post a photo of the bottom of the HSF and the clips and we can tell you if there broken otherwise buy a basic aftermarket HSF.

I guess the guy was just lying, as the push pins were a little bent and that's why the guy couldn't get them in? Or he just doesn't know what he's doing as he just tested to see if the fans worked in store, and was like if you have overheating problems, contact ASUS and that stock is always better.. He also put the exhaust fan facing the CPU to cool it down which makes absolutely no sense. Anyways, I got the stock cooler back in with like 1 or 2 push pins broken. Temps are fixed. Can't believe I got scammed for $80 lol.
