I want to Make a gaming build.I am confuse b/w these two processors as i wanted to make a new build.Which Processor i choose b/w these two processors.Which Processor is better b/w these two?

Solution
Well this i5's locked so I'd go with FX 8 if you have funds for a good CPU cooler. Both are good for gaming and can handle pretty much any game if paired with a powerful GPU. But FX 8's OCability will give it a slight edge in the future. Its also cheaper, so you can spend more on GPU and stuff right now.

In my country Fx 8350 is 20$ dollars more than i5's.My budget is around 650$ dollors, 40,000 Rupees.I am confused b/w these two processors. Some people are saying that i5 is better.

Mantle is for GPUs, not CPUs.

The i5 is a better CPU now as it has better performance per core when it comes to gaming. Given enough time the FX might be better once games take advantage of more cores. At the moment we are still mostly in the DX9 era so the i5 is the better option.

So, AMD Fx 8350 having 8 cores is not better than I5 4440.

Mantle is for both the CPU and the GPU. It takes some of the workload off of the CPU in order to assist the GPU

http://www.amd.com/en-us/innovations/software-technologies/mantle#overview

"Mantle reduces the CPU’s workload by giving developers a way to talk to the GPU directly with much less translation. With less work for the CPU to do, programmers can squeeze much more performance from a system, delivering the greatest benefits in gaming systems where the CPU can be the bottleneck."

We all know i5s are better for gaming, but Mantle just might give the FXs the edge, and if OP is using an AMD GPU (Which is likely because AMD is more budget-oriented) he will get even more of a performance boost

He meant RIGHT NOW the i5 is better. In the future, when games start utilizing more cores is where the 8350 will have a slight advantage

If you buy an FX8320 and expect to use Mantle with your GTX770, you are in for a big surprise. You can use mantel with the i5 and a R9 280.

but Mantle just might give the FXs the edge

Doubtful as well. The 8320/8350 is a strong CPU, so the boost from Mantle won't be much. It provides a big boost to lower end CPUs like the 4300, etc. For me it depends on what you are building for, and/or how often you upgrade. i5 is better now. FX might be better once we program games to use more core. If you upgrade often then get the i5. If you upgrade very rarely, then the FX is the better idea.

I agree with you on this. @OP, How often do you upgrade or when do you see yourself upgrading after this time?

If you do it after every 2 years or so, then i5 is the choice no doubt. But if you want to get one for the long run (4-5 years), then FX's OCability will come handy. More cores ( I know all the less FPU and core performance stuff), though not the most solid, but once OCed can tackle a locked i5 head on.

I will upgrade in most probably 3-4 years.

coz of overclocking right?

Full out gaming get an i5, multi-tasking like a motherfrkin mad person get the 8320... Its one hell of a beast, at any program I throw at it. Handles it like a champ and its very snappy :) (Intel should be too but not as good when you got a bunch of programs running)

But I would just recommend the i5 if its cheaper and you think you're gonna do some productivity and high amounts of gaming.

I am not opting for Ocing as an option. For the amount of overclocking ,i can get a 4570k.

Why don't you want to overclock?

For Overclocking i will need better mobo,better power supply,better cooling system,more power usage.If i can overclock a 8350 then i can buy a i5 4570k or maybe I5 4670k for the price.

That depends on your system specs. Any PSU can handle overclocking (Unless you have a very, VERY bad OEM one) and most mobos support it. Any decent $30 cooler can allow you to overclock, power usage is undeniable though. The FX 8350 does have a decent stock clock at 4Ghz so that isn't too bad

OK can you please suggest me a rig of both processors budget is 675$.

I read somewhere in this thread that your budget is Rs.40k, which in my opinion will not be able to accommodate both a FX 8/ i5 and a good GPU. The prices in India are more like UK than USA.

A MSI R9 270X for example is $180 in USA which rougly equates to 11k INR, but here the same GPU is 14k INR, much more like 140 GBP in UK which translates to 14k INR.

So your budget roughly equates to 400-420 GBP, not enough to accomodate an i5 or FX 8 there, or you'll have to badly sacrifice on the GPU/ RAM and other stuff.

So here's what I'd suggest:

PCPartPicker part list

CPU: Intel Core i3-4130 3.4GHz Dual-Core Processor

I don't know why, but 4150 is like 20k and 4130 is 7.4k:
http://www.amazon.in/Intel-core-4130-3-4GHz-Processor/dp/B00EUUKVXM/

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-H97M-D3H Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard

This one's 8k:
http://www.amazon.in/GIGABYTE-GA-H97M-D3H-Intel-Micro-Motherboard/dp/B00K872FB2

Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws Series 4GB (1 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory

I could just get 1X4GB modules, so Ripjaws X 1600/9 1X4GB for 3.2k:
http://www.flipkart.com/g-skill-ripjawsx-ddr3-4-gb-1-x-gb-pc-ram-f3-12800cl9s-4gbxl/p/itmd2rys8pgq3keh

Video Card: Sapphire Radeon R9 270X 2GB Dual-X Video Card

14k:
http://www.flipkart.com/sapphire-amd-ati-radeon-r9-270x-boost-oc-2-gb-ddr5-graphics-card/p/itmdtp5j69ssu9gj

Case: NZXT Source 210 (White) ATX Mid Tower Case

5k:
http://www.amazon.in/NZXT-Technologies-Source-210-White/dp/B005869A16/

Power Supply: Corsair CX 500W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply

I got the VS 550W for 3.2k, so included it:
http://www.flipkart.com/corsair-vs550-550-watt-psu/p/itmdg36xx8yzgjrs

Optical Drive: Samsung SH-224DB/BEBE DVD/CD Writer

1k:
http://www.flipkart.com/samsung-sh-224db-idds-dvd-burner-internal-optical-drive/p/itmdh5bpt97kwpgx

Operating System: Microsoft Windows 8.1 (OEM) (64-bit)

Windows 8/8,1 is actually cheaper than Win7 here, so Windows 8.1 OEM 64 bit, 5.7k:
http://www.flipkart.com/microsoft-windows-8-8-1-sl-oem-64-bit/p/itmdnw7mpjzza8n5

Total: £460.39

OR ~45k INR, still on the higher side. Mind you I've not included storage in this, so I'd go with the Pentium G3220 for 6k and save up on processor:
http://www.amazon.in/Intel-Pentium-Processor-G3220-BX80646G3220/dp/B00EF1G9DW/

And then I'll save up on MoBo to get H87 MSI G43 for 6.2k:
http://www.flipkart.com/msi-h87m-g43-motherboard/p/itmdhtmwnmxvcgnb?pid=MBDDHTMWNMXVCGNB

Finally, I'd save up on GPU to get GTX 750 Ti for 11.2k:
http://www.amazon.in/ASUS-GRAPHICS-CARD-750TI-PH-2GB-DDR5/dp/B00JFT880G

Then hopefully I'll be able to get a 1TB HDD for about 3.7k:
http://www.amazon.in/Seagate-Barracuda-Desktop-Internal-Drive/dp/B006BRBSE8/

Updated build: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/zhLQK8

And this way, a 40-45k INR rig shapes up with all the components required :)

PS: I'm Indian too 😉
