i5 4460 or i5 7400

Hello guys! So i decided to upgrade my i3 4170 to a i5 4460 but i dont know that is it worth it still to get in 2017?thanks for the answers!!!and i do have a samsung 19" monitor would it be go with a gtx 1060 6gb?

depends on the rest of your computer components like Motherboard and ram, but here is a cpu/cpu compare below your two choices your stated

Go for the i5 4460. The small performance lift of the 7400 from the 4460 isn't worth a motherboard, ram replacement and possibly Windows if you have the OEM version.

Also, to the paladin, that comparison is comparing the 's' version which is slightly downgraded and isn't even on the us market.

Can you update the BIOS and get a 4690 (non k) price used should be similar to the new price of a 4460 and that extra clock speed will help a good bit trying to feed a 1060 also with editing

Ok i would go with the i5 4460 but i do have an another question i got my SamsungS19C150 Monitor can i use this for a gtx 1060?

oh my......extreme overkill for a 720p monitor

a fast core i5 and a 1060 will smash benchmarks at his monitor specs.
