Hi to all. Im sorry if this question seems to be kind of redundant as I have read other questions here that are the same but I would like to ask you all, is the i5 4460 any different from the 4590 and 4690 other than their clockspeed? Is there any fps hit on the 4460?

My original plan was to buy a 4690 (I dont want to overclock) but because I needed an OS I resorted to buy an i5 4460.. I would primarily be gaming on this build. Here is my build:

i5 4460
Palit GTX 970 Jetstream
8Gb ram
MSI h81 mobo
Seasonic S12ii bronze 520w

Sorry for the long post. Thanks in advance!

The difference in performance isn't Huge so between the 4460 and the 4590, you would have a ~2 extra fps and between the 4460 and 4690, you would have a ~3 fps
You have a seasonic psu, which is fantastic since i see so many people with bad psus, especially with CX power supplies
Could you give me the name of your motherboard?
You might want to change to the H97 Chipset since the H81 chipset will need a BIOS update to work with Haswell Refresh

Thank you for replying. Unfortunately I have already bought the mobo. The good news it recognizes the processor without any BIOS updates. I guess 2 to 3 fps wont be noticeable.. This is my first build and I have spent a good amount of time researching this and that. Anyway thanks again!
