I5 4670K 4.5Ghz OC

Hi guys doing some overclocking I am running a i5 4670k with just a hyper 212 EVO.

Would you consider this stable?
25 Runs on IBT at High settings max temp was 85C
with 1.21V con cpu

but on OCCT I get better temps.
Would you consider this stable?

ibt stresses the cpu unnecessarily high imo. It's a good test for making sure your thermals are ok, but not the best for checking stability. 13 hours of occt is stable in my opinion.

OCCT would also be higher temps if you were running the Linpack but that using instructions in the processor most people don't us like for using MS visual.
If this is mainly for gaming I would call it good to go.

You're fine. I have my i5-4670k overclocked to 4.6Ghz @ 1.25V using a Cooler Master GeminII 524. I rarely go above 80C and it usually only happens when I finish a Black Ops 3 match.

Thank currently at 4.7 and 1.28V

I tried 4.7 but it wasn't stable. I was able to boot into windows but once I started to stress test the system it would crash almost immediately. Congrats on 4.7!

You're fine. I have my i5-4670k overclocked to 4.6Ghz @ 1.25V using a Cooler Master GeminII 524. I rarely go above 80C and it usually only happens when I finish a Black Ops 3 match.

If your running 80C just gaming you need to rethink your overclock or cooling.

I figured it out yesterday. The ram sticks I was using was not allowing the heatsink to make proper contact with the processor. I switched my ram from g.skill trident to kingston hyperx. The hyperx ram allows the heatsink to sit level on my i5. Now my temps are now in the low 60's while gaming.
