i5 4670k oc help

Hello- I have a i5 4670k that I want to OC, The game that I want to OC this cpu for is Guild Wars 2. I was wondering what I should OC it at.Since I am new to over clocking would this power supply be enough? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139028 my 750 w is RMA as of right now so using the 600w. I don't think overclocking that processor is really worth it just for Guild Wars 2. If you don't have a third party heat sink, it's even more dangerous for not much reward. I have your processor, but I also have a H60 water cooler for my CPU. If you really want to overclock, add about 1 to your multiplier, and leave the voltage on whatever you use it on. Test your computer with prime95 or some other CPU stress test, and if you get errors or it freezes, increase the voltage a bit. DO NOT increase your voltage by a lot. 1.2V should be more than enough for an OC to around .2 - .4 GHz over stock speeds. Again, fine tune the voltages to match your chip. Take it down a notch slowly, and test with Prime95 until you get to the point where freezing occurs. Go back to the last stable clock voltage, and it should be fine. I do seriously recommend you get a good aftermarket heat sink if you plan to overclock much to at all. Good luck with it, but I don't see why its current speeds would bottleneck you.

I do have a after market cooler, i did order a http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103196 for this purpose because as of right now I have a hyper evo 212. I just need suggestions for the oc because it's my first time, I have general knowledge from building my pc for the past 4 years. Thank you for your help though

p.s. Gw2 is a game where it utilizes CPU cores to the max due to the nature of the game ( if you want to play flawless with no half second lag in populated areas). So it is worth it.

Well, don't go heavy with the overclocking until you get your new water cooler, but increase the multiplier by a few (2-4 i think should be good for something small. Go a bit more if you want to, but don't go over 6-8 more than your current multiplier.). Then, have your voltage at around 1.18V. My CPU runs at about 1.116V with no overclock, but it jumps up to 1.16_ while running Prime95 occasionally. Follow what I said in the first message though. The multiplier should be fairly easy to find in your BIOS, and the core voltage modifier should be close to it somewhere. That just varies on your motherboard and BIOS. Those are the only necessary things to change. If you really aren't comfortable modifying the voltage yourself, leave it on adaptive or auto (depends on your BIOS version) because that will allow it to use as much as needed. I recommend you to do it manually because auto usually keeps the volatges higher than they have to be, and that will reduce the total life span of your chip. It shouldn't be too major with what your are doing with it, but overclocking can definitely take its toll on your computer if not done properly. To learn how to overclock, it just takes time and practice. Take it slow, and be careful. If anything goes wrong to the point that your computer won't turn on, clear your CMOS.
