Quick question, I tried recently work on my old computer and increase my OC.
I got stable 4.5g with 1.260v on the i5-4690K with NH-C14.
The peak temperature is 82c - if ill add all the max temp and divided it by 4 it is going to be:
Core #0 - 76c
Core #1 - 81c
Core #2 - 77c
Core #3 - 76c
77.5C

An average of all cores average is:

Core #0 - 64.6
Core #1 - 67.7
Core #2 - 65.4
Core #3 - 64.3
65.5c

So, should I be worry from the peak temp or focus more on the averages temp?

Thanks.

"Throttle" temperature (Tj Max) for the i5 4690K is 100°C. However, since cooler is better for ultimate stability, performance and longevity, it's prudent to observe a reasonable thermal margin below Tj Max. Here's the nominal operating range for Core temperature:

Core temperatures above 85°C are not recommended.

Core temperatures below 80°C are ideal.

Core temperatures increase and decrease with ambient temperature
. "Standard" or normal room temperature is 22°C or 72°F. This is important to take into consideration as indoor temperatures are typically influenced by warmer environmental conditions during summer months.
