So I have an i5-4690K on an H81M mobo, so I run it at stock. It's bottlenecking my EVGA GTX 1060 6GB SC playing Battlefield 1 multiplayer. It's not really noticeable unless I'm watching the OSD, but it's dropping below 60fps only using 70% of the GPU.
If I decide to upgrade in the future, I suppose the topic of question would be:
A.) Do I buy a Z97M mobo for $100-$125 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128716)
B.) Do I sell my i5 (for ~$200 or less) and buy an i7-4790(for ~$300)
The price difference would be about the same, but performance would be better with the i7 right?
