Hi guys,

My current setting is:
i5 4690k (3.5 Ghz - stock)
8GB (2x4) DDR3 1600 Gskill
240 Gb SSD
VGA RTX 2060 (loading ... hehehe)

I want to play 1080p@60hz (high or ultra settings). I don´t buy a new monitor now.

I play games: The Witcher 3, BF V and GTA V, Fortnite.

Do I need to update my CPU?

Thanks.

Solution
I think you will see a little bottlenecking....but I wouldn't go running out and buy a new CPU just yet.

I think it will run pretty good!

I would try it and see what you think before I upgraded the CPU.

Regardless....I think you will easily get 1080p on ultra with your current CPU.

No sure why you got a 2060 and you are playing 1080p/60hz. Yes, in some games the 4690k will hold the 2060 back. And in some games only 8gb of RAM will hold you back.

8gb more of RAM and a good deal on a used 4790k would solve some of your issues. But you also need a 144hz monitor.

Thanks!

I sold my old VGA (gtx 970) 1 year ago and I'm out of VGA all this time. My current monitor is 1080p@60hz.
In that first moment, I'm going to buy a new VGA, so I thought of the RTX 2060.This is my money limit now hehehe
In the future, a new monitor and then upgrade to MB and CPU.

Update: I´m from Brazil. RTX 2060 today available equivalente U$ 500 😱
