Question Which CPU to buy

I currently have a 1080p projector, I want to upgrade to a 4k projector and was informed I need to upgrade my CPU. Please give recomendations. I was considering to get the 5900x or the 5950x, also please recommend which fan. thanks

These are my specs:
CPU - AMD Ryzen 7 3800X
Motherboard - Tuf gaming x570 plus
32 GB DDR4 - 3000mhz corair vengeance lpx
RTX 4070 Super

2) For Gaming, want to play newer games ideally at max graphics
3) for 4k 120 inch projector
4) How much are you looking to spend? as much as is needed to buy the cpu, less than 300
6) Brands Preferred - Am4 socket
7. Brands Not Preferred- nil

Nah. You can completely ignore that recommendation.
When switching to 4k resolution, almost entire workload shifts to graphics card.
At 4k - cpu impacts very little and you' ll be gpu limited.

I’d also mention for gaming, get the 5700x3d. Runs about 200 dollars US and is 8 core 16 threads, but the 3d vcache should help it out for gaming until you eventually build a new pc.
