i5-4690k vs i7-7700k

Hi all,

Looking to upgrade my i5-4690k and MSI H97 gaming 3. Should I wait for the new ice lake CPU’s or buy z270 and i7-7700k. My budget is around $1000 AUD, what should I do. Does the i5-4690k warrant an upgrade paired with the 1070 or should I hold out until ice lake.

if you really want to upgrade then go for the 8th gen why go for 7th gen CPU when you can go for the 8th 8700K?

For most fps games the 4690K is good enough, just spend your money on a good GPU
