i5 4690k vs Xeon1231v3 (CPU intensive games)

What's better, the Xeon 1231v3 or the i5 4690k + hyper 212 evo cooler for CPU intensive games such as arma 3 and MineCraft? Please don't start a war about minecraft, I am getting a 144hz monitor and want to record with 100ish fps with the shader mod on multiplayer. This will be my build(ignore the prices)


GTX 970 - 380eu
Asrock z97 pro 4 - 110eu
8gb corsair vengeance ram - 62eu
1tb seagate desktop hdd - 55eu
Corsair cx600w - 75eu
NZXT S340 - 70eu
Cooler master hyper 212 evo - 30eu
Samsung 850 evo 250gb - 109eu

I will be using the pc for video editing and minor Photoshop as wel.

An overclocked I5 4690k will be better than the xeon in games. At stock speed, they are overall equal. We're talking about very small differences here anyway, though, so whatever has been sounded best to you in the previous thread might still do now.
Personally, I'd pick the I5 if I had a z97 board and an aftermarket cooler and the xeon else.

Yes and no, because I didn't ask how it performed in CPU intensive games, and I am curious if the xeon has a disadvantage because it has more cores, if I'm correct
