Building a PC.

Wondering how long an i5-6400 and a GTX 960 will last me.

The i5 will last you several years, but the GTX960 will age fast. You'd probably want to replace it as early as next year.

That is a TERRIBLE price for a 960 by the way. The new RX470 is that price and is almost as good as a GTX970.

I wouldn't pay more than $150-160 for a 960.

I bought a gtx970 for $300 a little over eighteen months ago. Good investment, at the time. Now, it generally gets beat up by a $230 amd card. Is it still good? Oh yeah, beats the pants off my older 660ti, and works great for me because I really don't get into latest and greatest hype games. So I'll be good for a few more years. By then, the 970 won't be much better than the 660ti is now.
