Hello ,
Some days ago my electricity went down while I was doing some work on my PC . After that , I took the whole PC to the store that I have bought all the components . They told me that only PSU is dead and everything else is working . I borrowed an old PSU from a friend in order to have a PC just for 4-5 days until my new PSU is ready . This PSU has a 4 connector for CPU... I know that It will work with only 4 pin instead of 8 . The problem is that temps are kind of high , is this happening because it is not getting much current ?

Solution
"is this happening because it is not getting much current ? "

I don't think that has anything to do with it. Zero.

I'd be looking at other things....like the cooler mounting job (you want it snug)....and I'd replace the thermal paste and then run it and see what it gets you. Then perhaps do more, depending on what you see.
