i5 6600k 1.1v

yes i set it manually, i havent tried anything below 1.1 because i'm afraid it's gonna crash.

I've played bf1 and csgo for 1 hour at this voltage and nothing bad has happened. temps are staying under 50c under 100% load. Seems stable

MERGED QUESTION
Question from Sid2000 : "i5 6600k 4.1ghz @1.1v?"

Then you have room to push it further potentially, depending on OC settings. Anything below 1.35v and 70-75c is safe. I wouldn't lower it below 1.1 at 4.1GHz though. Monitor max voltages and temps over time with HWInfo to check they really are the maximum its hitting..

using cpu-z, it shows the voltages peaking at 1.13 during gaming

I just wanted a few extra frames but i will be pushing this further. Also, my cpu at 3.5ghz was running 1.2v out of the box but now i can hit 4.1 with 1.1v. How does this make sense?

Because that CPU ha a 3.9GHz Turbo Boost, and I presume it was on auto so could've been a little high, but you have only OC'd it by 200Mhz technically.

And unless you have a 1080 your CPU probably isnt bottlenecking your card so it wouldnt make any difference to fps.

right. i'm gonna push it to 4.4ghz at 1.2v

Have you done any stress testing apart from games?

While it might work while gaming, it may not be completely stable.

Use Prime95 for a few hours and if there are no errors then your CPU is quite stable.

Yes, i've left prime95 on for 10 mins and had no issues, plus i've been using this oc for couple of days and had nothing but good news! I was able to push it to 4.4ghz at 1.2v. Guess I won the cpu lottery?

Hey it's been like 3 months but I haven't really left prime95 on for hours like you said but nothing bad has happened in the past 3 months. Do I still need to leave on prime95 for few hours or am i fine?

On the question of prime95, I'd answer that if it is working for what you want it to do, then I wouldn't worry about it... A lot of benchmarks are designed to really implement some really maximum, and not so real world situations.... So, if your OC is working find with all of the games you want to run and is never crashing, then don't worry about it...

You can leave it. You are really lucky to get that golden chip.
