i5 6600k bottleneck with 1070

Hai, I seem to get a substantial bottleneck while playing newer games such as the newly released Ghost Recon Wildlands. My specs are: 16 Gigs of ram, 2TB HDD, 500gb SSD, Gainward GTX 1070, 650W PSU, ASUS Z170 PRO, intel i5 6600k Clocked to 4Ghz. I play on my 144hz monitor using displayport.
While playing a demanding game cpu usage is at 100% and gpu usage is around 50%
Is it normal for the i5 6600k to be bottlenecking the 1070?
Any help appreciated

some games will use more the cpu than the gpu, but those numbers look interesting to say the least

what frames per second you get? any stutter visible?

I get anywhere from 40 to 75 -80 frames. But it is really inconsistent

Thanks for the tip, though i've tried the tips from the link you gave me. None of them really work. What is really irritating aswell is that I experience freezes alot, they last up to 5 sec each.

Yea im installing the driver now
I am most probably gonna try buying an i7 and see if that fixes my problem
