Hi guys! I've just upgraded my pc and chose the blizzard t2 with the I5 6600k to substitute my old FX6300. On idle, I'm getting this temperatures:

I'm thinking this is above the normal, am I wrong? should I worry? (My house is about 30ºC)
edit: it looks like it's a bit overclocked, wasn't me, probably my mobo (z170m asus)
edi2: after a long time gaming, it stays at 83ºC with a max of 90ºC (on this case it's when is using 100% cpu)

About 75~83 in normal situations and 90ºC on 100% usage (wasn't expecting this to happen in a game though)

is it fine to leave it as it is or should I downclock a bit?

If you're reaching 90c during normal use, aka gaming and not maximum stress like prime95 then you need a better cooler. Your cpu is oc'd whether auto or not and you're trying to run it in a condition which is already hotter than normal, 30c ambient temps (typical used for testing is around 22-23c) with one of the smallest aftermarket coolers around with only 2 heat pipes. Roughly half of a 212 evo which is already a low budget cooler.

Running your cpu in hotter than typical conditions means you need better cooling to begin with and this is why you're reaching 90c. Those sort of temps over time could start degrading your processor. Have a look here at the intel thermal guide.

Normal temps during gaming would be around 60c give or take 5c. Even 70c would be considered pretty warm during normal tasks like gaming for an oc'd cpu, you're running around 50% hotter than normal given your scenario with ambient temps and all.

thanks for the answer! gonna try to keep it less hotter by turning things off until I buy a decent cooler
