i5 6600k & gtx 1050 ti work for a 240hz monitor for league of legends?

Hi,

I am wondering if i can run the above on an asus rog pg258q 1080p 240 hz monitor at 240 hz.
Main game I play is league of legends. Im not worried at this stage for other games such as FPS.
All i want to know is if i can reach 240hz on the monitor whilst playing lol with my current set up.

I'v heard the Graphics card can handle it at 1080p, but the cpu might not. if not would it be wise to upgrade to a 7700K or a gtx1070 (but with sticking to the 6600k).

Thanks in advance. Also my psu is a corsair AX860i, so power distribution should be fine.

Any one have an idea on this?

LOL is not that hardware demanding
6600k + 1050ti can handle it easily

You can always upgrade if you are going to play some newer titles.

Ok thanks. So the 'Game engine' isnt going to scale to support higher specs?
