i5 6600k / gtx 1080ti?

Is My i5 6600k enough for the mighty 1080 ti? I wanna upgrade my 1060 but I want to be sure first. Thanks guys!

In most games, yes; especially in resolutions above 1080p. If I were in your position, I would proceed with the upgrade. My only question is what's your power supply's manufacturer and model number.

This is a nice power supply. I've got the 850 and it's been rock solid.

To answer your question, yes. The 6600K is won't bottle neck the 1080Ti.

I got that same processor and plan on upgrading my 1060 to a 1080 TI next week.. I run games at 1440p 144hz.

Yes, it will bottleneck, dont mind the processor is a 6000 series, even a 7000 series i5 will somewhat bottlenecked by an 1080 Ti, this monster gpu is the friend of i7 cpus, even most ryzen cpu have problems with the 1080 Ti, i would go fpr a 1070 or 1080 for an i5.

I think you've got your terminology mixed up. What you meant to say is that the i5 will bottleneck the 1080Ti not be bottlenecked by the 1080Ti. This is not accurate though. If you are running games that are heavily CPU dependent then your CPU will bottleneck your overall performance but will not specifically bottleneck your GPU. The pairing is completely fine but depending on the games you play, your CPU may be a limiting factor. Every PC has a bottleneck somewhere... There is always one component that will be the limiting factor to performance to some capacity.
