Don't bother with the custom loop. Get a 6700K. It is faster in a few newer games. And going forward, that hyperthreading will be used more and more.

Hyper-threading has been around for over 10 years now, anyone who wanted it implemented have done so already. DX 12 will remove most of the burden from the CPU which will make Hyper-Threading even less relevant to gaming in the future.

DX12 will bring out CPU intensive games that will use the extra threads.
First, that link prove my point even more. Little no difference when the 6600k is overclocked, which it always is. Nobody is getting a k model and not overclocking.
2nd, DX 12 will not bring CPU intensive games out at all. It designed around the idea of reducing CPU overhead, I don't know where you get the idea that the opposite is true.
