This summer I'm building a gaming PC and I was searching processor specs on intel ark for the i5-6600k
It was written that the CPU supports 2 memory channels, I don't exactly know what it means, but will it support 4 sticks of 4GB each of ddr4 memory?

Solution
Yes it will. The amount of ram will be somewhat determined by the motherboard, how many slots it has and max memory. The cpu supports 2 memory channels so it will access ram in 'dual channel' provided you pair the ram in the proper slots on the board. With 4x4gb it will be running in dual channel (2 sticks at a time will be accessed) as opposed to quad channel on the x99 enthusiast boards.

You would be better off with 2x8gb of ram though, 2 sticks of ram are easier to match in terms of timings than 4 sticks (stability) and it will leave you with 2 slots open should you decide to upgrade in the future.

Thanks! I will go with 4 sticks of 4gb because i will not upgrade in the future, 16gb is enough for me (Gaming and OS Virtual machines)
