[SOLVED] I5 7400 on h110m pro (ddr3)

So i bought the following pc for 100$ from a friend:
I7 6700
h110m pro- vd d3
16 gb ram
350 crappy psu

The thing that shocked me is that rams are ddr3
I thought 6th and, 7th gen were ddr4 only.
My intention was to switch the i7 6700 with an i5 7400 which i already have in my old pc.
So i and wondering is this possible or would it burn my processor
Can i put i5 7400 on h110m pro (the ddr3 board), and i7 6700 on my ddr4 board (also h110 pro but ddr4)

But make sure the bios is updated to avoid compability issue.

Sure you can. What motherboard will you get ? if you not sure with the motherboard, just check their compability at their site.
