Im looking to upgrade my computer to have a GTX 770, and i was wondering if it would bottleneck my computer? Thanks for any help :)
P.S Who people who are wondering i have a 750w PSU

Solution
I think that the Arma 3 cpu bench helps prove that the i5-760 @3.6 will be just fine with a 770. There are always games that are cpu-bound, but your i5 is still very good at that clock. Notice the i7-920 @2.66 on that Arma 3 bench? Your cpu @3.6 should beat it (unless Arma uses more than 4 threads, I haven't looked into it). Anyway, I'd get the 770 and worry about the cpu later.

I've seen it, im just worried that i wont be getting good performance, i want to be running ARMA 3 and other games on standard + on minimum 45 FPS without frame-drops

Thanks dude, ill probably do that, could you suggest how much of a frame drop I'd have until i upgrade? I'd hopefully run it on very high, and some AA, and normal its 63 FPS

Arma 3? This might help you out. http://www.techspot.com/review/712-arma-3-benchmarks/page3.html

Bear in mind that the GPU benchmarks are with an i7 4770k, and the CPU benchmarks are with a GTX Titan. Arma 3 is very demanding.

So would you said id be getting around 30 - 40 FPS with frame drops on very high

Yeah, good point, i never noticed that 😛 TBH, that bench mark is with a titan and on ultra, and i dont want it run it with either settings so i might get high also, but thanks dude :) Any other opinions before i close the thread :)?

Every single game I own (NFS;MW, Beamng.drive, planetside2, minecraft, kerbal space program and others) are limited by my 870. It just doesn't have the single-core speed I need. Even 4Ghz with my cpu equals a new 4670. I can not stream, record or encode while I am playing games, but my CPU isn't at 100%.
