i5 7600k temperature problem

I recently bought i5 7600k, and GIGABYTE Z270 GAMING K3 and my cooler is noctua NH-U9B SE2 i putted them together today and idle temperature is 30-60. and when i run prime95 The temperature goes as high as 80 C

I would remove the cooler, clean the cpu and heat-sink, and reapply thermal paste. Be sure to use a small pea-sized bead of paste right in the center of the chip, then install the cooler and let the cooler spread the paste with the pressure from being screwed down.

80c is hot, but still within safe limits. Things to consider that can affect your cpu temps:

- Case/airflow
- how many fans in your case?
- how are they configured? (you should have top and rear fans as exhaust, front mounted fans should be blowing cool air into the case)
- how are your cables? if the interior of the case is cluttered, it will make it more difficult for cool air to travel through the case.
- how warm is the room where the pc is?
