i5 8400 or Ryzen 5 1600 ?

Im planning to build a ryzen 5 1600 build
but then i see i5 8400
but the review is all about gaming

my focus is on video editing (premiere pro) and perhaps light gaming

which one do you think is the best? considering u have to spend extra money for the z370 motherboard (which is pretty expensive than the b350 in my country)

If you’re not just gaming then i’d say 1600.

The Core i5 8400 is better for adobe premiere pro but not by much. Consider also that the 8400 is a much better gaming CPU than the Ryzen chip. But for most other multithreaded workloads Ryzen is better. Adobe premiere pro cares more about CPU core speed and ipc than core count and threads.
