Hey guys I am in the process of building a new PC with intels i5 9400f which has no dedicated graphics and ran in to a possible problem when buying a motherboard thats compatible. Originally i assumed any 1151 (300 series) board will work with all intel 9th gen CPUs but realize i may be wrong after reading a lot of motherboard manufacturers statement of "Supported only by CPU with integrated graphic." Does this mean that they will not boot CPUs without integrated graphics even if I have a dedicated GPU to do the job as not all motherboard manufactures put that statement in the specifications. Im in the market for Z390 chipset with the idea that later on I will buy a K processor and want to overclock so with that in mind I was looking at the MSI MPG Z390 Gaming Pro Carbon and its cousin the AC variant. The MSI MPG Z390 boards list the statement of only being supported by CPUs with integrated graphics though so does this mean that even with a dedicated graphics card that my i5 9400f wont post?
