[SOLVED] I5 9400F will it work without extra graphics Card

Hi guys, i am going to build new PC i need an important suggestion from you. I want to buy new Intel i5-9400F but my budget is tight so i want to skip graphics card for few months, there is my question will it work for normal day today work like internet browsing etc. I mean no gaming but just normal use. please help. i desperately waiting yours reply. Thanks

No. Won't work without discrete GPU. It has integrated GPU disabled.

Choose i5-9400 instead. It has iGPU enabled.

^ As above, there is no iGP on the 9400F so it won't "work" for anything without a GPU.

A 9400F retails for ~$175.... by the time you add a basic GPU to use initially, you'd be $200 or more.... Perhaps looking to the prior gen i5-8400 or i5-8500 would be a better route?


Have you considered Ryzen? A Ryzen5 2400G has an iGP... one you could actually do some light gaming on, and offers 4c/8t vs the i5's 6c/6t.... And typically for less money? (around $150)

use ryzen 3400g with b450 mother board on this u can game 1080 on low settings.
then some time later upgrade with better gpu like 1660ti.
b450 mother board can support these types of gpu as well.
or u can also use intel i5 9400 it has igpu
