Hey friends, so ive got some issue
I'm using a Gigabyte Z790 Auros Elite X motherboard with the last f7e bios update.

My pc on Intel XTU seems to get throttled while using intel specs
Turbo short -253w
Turbo -253 w
ICCmax - 307a

Got throttled power limit and EDP throttle kinda right away.

When changing settings to
Turbo short- unlimited
Turbo - 240w (default 280w on last f6 bios)
And iccmax - unlimited
Thos settings was on 6 bios

There's no throttle errors. Every game runs great and nothing stuck or crashing.

But on intel specs, games are getting stuck snd throttling.

The CPU doesn’t overheat and on benchmark with f6 reach max 90c and not above(360cooling)

Any idea?
Should i just stay on f6 specs?

Hey there,

Short answer, yes. If it's stable and everything boosts as intended, then no need to stick with previous settings.
Thank you for answering!
so just to be clear, I can just use the f6 previous bios with the stats that worked and not just update to f7e that make me throttles with “intel settings”?

I mean, everything works great on 6, 7 make me problems for some reason 😅

Yeah. There are currently some instability with Intel 13th/1th Gen high end CPU's. More with the 14900k's , and less so with 14700k. However the diagnosis for these issues are serious crashing and CPU degradation. They present in instability and crashing in game, or at load. You are not experiencing those issues with F6. So I'd stick with that. If you have issues further down the line, then you can reconsider where to go.
