I got an incredibly deal on a pc containing a i3 2120, and I want to upgrade it. Should I put a i7 2600 in it (for like 65$) or a i5 2550k (for like 50$) and pair it with a 1060 6gb? Or should I do something completly different ? I’ve got a MSI B75(MA-p45 I think) motherboard btw. I heard something about it having a program that allowed it to overclock is that true?

Solution
For a mere $15 difference, grab the i7-2600. That's the top end processor for that board. You maybe can OC it using the BCLK only for a few hundred MHz bump if you feel its worth it. But the board (?) is not designed to handle OC'ing. And it may die considering how old it is.

The GTX 1060 would probably be the fastest card to use with either CPU if you want to avoid wasting $ with bottleneck.

I'd recommend the i7 2600. The processor is currently the best one you can get for the board. It has 4 more threads and performs way better. a GTX 1050 Ti or 1060 will be a good match with the CPU. Or for the best performance run off the integrated graphics :D
