Hi all,

I'm looking to upgrade an old business pc I picked up recently. (a prebuilt)

I don't have much to spend in terms of GPU. Which has less bottleneck, an RX 550 (the 4GB version) or the GTX 1050? I'm leaning towards the 1050 but I'm asking because I don't know.

Specs:
i7-2600
Generic Dell Mobo (LGA1155)
8GB DDR3 RAM
No GPU
300W PSU

Solution
It is stated that the RX 550 requires a 400W power supply or better, but I can't see why, because all that the RX 550 uses is the 75W from the PCIE slot, as it doesn't use any PCIE connectors from the power supply. Same goes for most GTX 1050's.

That being said, the GTX 1050 rivals with the RX 560. The GT 1030 rivals with the RX 550. The GTX 1050 is the better GPU.

Hi that CPU can handle a 1070 if you can afford. Now if not better put a little bit more and buy a 1050ti or maybe 570 4gb. Between those two the 1050 it's better even it has 2Gb. You need to buy a PSU too something like 550-650 watts from sirtec or seasonic. Uh yeah whatever you choose between 1050, 1050ti or 550 , the CPU will be bottlenecked
