Will a i7-2600k @ 4.3 Ghz bottleneck an evga gtx 1080Ti sc? I run a 1080p monitor at 60hz...and i know thats a waste to a lot of ppl and that i wont be getting the true power of the 1080ti. But the price is so similar that id rather go with the 1080ti over the 1080. Also i plan on using DSR for most games.

It would run in a 2nd gen pci slot not a third gen, so another small loss. But again i dont mind.

Considering i can just upgrade my cpu and monitor later id rather future proof my gpu.

Also just for comparison i am running gtx 780s in sli.

All im wondering is if ill get less fps than a 1080 for some odd reason (maybe res :3)

Thanks in advance!

as long as you take advantage of DSR it will be fine

though you would benefit...

though you would benefit from a true 1440p monitor, or one of those super wide honeys
