I know it'll support a 2600, but I don't see anyone who has dropped the k series in there. It can't be oced anyway and the 2600/2600k have same clock speeds it wasn't until later that Intel.decided to gouge for the k chips. You can probably find a 2600 cheaper than the 2600k and in your use they'll performance identical

Seems no. I didn't see a single ivy bridge cpu on the list which tells me they didn't offer a bios update for it most likely
